Grants Awarded
The Jewish Women's Foundation means many things to many people. But to all the women who support it, and all the women who benefit from it, it truly is a “foundation" in the most basic sense: a structure on which to build.
Our Goals:
- To address the needs of Jewish women and girls and advance women and girls' issues.
- To fund projects which seek to improve the status of Jewish women and girls overall, not simply to provide services or programming which only benefit individual Jewish women and girls.
- To develop the leadership skills of Jewish women and apply those skills to advocacy for positive social change for women and girls.
- To fund projects which address the root causes of the challenges faced by Jewish women and girls.
- To educate women about philanthropy.
- To be grant makers within the context of being Jewish women: celebrating our identities, recapturing our biblical and historic legacy, and honoring our tradition of Tzedekah and Tikkun Olam.
Since 1997, the Jewish Women’s Foundation has awarded $1,249,522 to 89 projects.
