- Sportscasters. Where there’s sports, there’s sportscasters! That word is a combination of the words “sports” and “broadcasters,” and that’s what these people do, they report about sports on the radio and TV. Some of them are pretty memorable characters! But did you know that some of the greatest sportscasters of all time were Jewish? Tune in now to take our sportscasters quiz!
- 2008 Olympics Special! Did you watch the Beijing Olympics? Wow! So many great achievements, it’s hard to remember them all. And we’re just talking about the Jewish athletes from around the world and in many different sports who ran, swam, rowed, and fought their ways to Olympic medals. See how closely you were paying attention as you go for the Gold in our Olympics quiz!
- Weightlifting It takes a lot of strength to be Jewish. Good thing Jews are so strong. No, really— Jews have set world records in a weighty subject: weightlifting! It’s an Olympic sport, and the Olympics start on August 8th (although all those guys have to lift at the Opening Ceremony is the torch!). Now, see if you can muscle up to the heavy-handed questions in our Jewish weightlifters quiz!
- Fencing. En garde! The sport of "fencing" has nothing to do with climbing up, jumping over or balancing on fences— it’s the word for swordfighting as a sport. It’s been around as long as… well, swords, and we Jews have been around a long time too! In fact, there are even sword fights mentioned in the Torah. Touché! And fencing is part of the Summer Olympics, which are in China in 2008. So sharpen your… wits and see if you get the point (ouch!) of our Jewish fencing quiz!
- Sailing. In the Torah, Jacob blesses his son Zevulun that he will “dwell on the coast, at the harbor for ships.” And since then, Jews have been making history in boats, from the Olympics to America’s Cup (not named for America the country but for the first boat to win, the America), both of which are coming up this summer! Now put on your lifejacket and set sail for our Jewish boating quiz!
- Golf and Bowling. For most sports, you're running back and forth the whole game. But some sports require less moving around and more moving the exact right way. Now that it's finally spring, you may find yourself on the golf course, like the masters in the Grand Slam. But when it rains, you might want to head over to the bowling alley, like the pros in the PBA Tour. Both tournaments are happening right now! But before you turn on ESPN, see what you know about great Jewish golfers and bowlers with our quiz...

Careful— there’s a few… hurdles!

And did you know that some of the great players in the sport were Jewish? We’re going to serve up some quiz questions about them— see if you can smash them back over the net!
- Boxing. Why do Jews box? Current Israeli champ Roman Greenberg put it very well: "Through the Star of David, I represent Israel and myself. All through history, the Jews have always had to fight for their freedom and for their lives. When I come out wearing the Star of David, it shows the whole world that the Jews are still here and that they are successful." So put up your dukes and come out swinging for our Jewish boxing quiz!
- Figure Skating. Did you "figure" skating for a Jewish sport? In fact, lots of Jewish athletes have won medals and set records in figure skating. Even if if you are a klutz on the ice (like us!), we bet you can manage a "lutz" on this Jewish skaters quiz!

- Wrestling. What’s a “sport” that is mentioned in the Torah? Wrestling! Remember how Jacob wrestles with an angel? See how many you can pin down… with this quiz!

- Football. OK, huddle up, team! It’s time to see how much you know about Jewish football players! It’s true— some of the best quarterbacks, halfbacks and fullbacks to ever pass, kick, block, and tackle are Jewish. Maybe they learned at the Seder. You know: four cups, four questions, four sons… and four downs!
