About Shalom Baby

JUF’s Shalom Baby welcomes the newest members of our community by providing a complimentary gift package to Jewish newborns in Chicagoland. Included in the package are materials on creating a Jewish home and raising Jewish children, a personalized welcome certificate, Mazal Tov: Baby’s First Record Book, the Guide to Jewish Living in Chicago, an $18 coupon (to use at any synagogue, JCC or organization listed in the Guide), list of recommended Jewish books and music, health and safety information, and more.

Celebrate & Donate

In honor of this newborn baby, you can make a donation to JUF and give a gift that will enhance the lives of the 300,000 Chicagoans and 2 million Jews worldwide. JUF will send a beautiful customized card or certificate (designed by a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory of Art) to the baby's parents.
