Real Estate & Building Trades

The JUF Real Estate & Building Trades Division offers professionals the opportunity to connect with more than 7,000 of Chicago's most prominent real estate professionals including: those who work for or own their own management, leasing, or mortgage companies. The division also includes commercial & residential brokers, and developers of commercial and industrial properties. The Building Trades network includes general and sub contractors, home & property improvement companies, lumber and material suppliers and furniture manufacturers, retailers and representatives.

Young Real Estate Group

The Young Real Estate Group serves as a means to connect young Jewish professionals (ages 22-40ish) in Chicago by providing opportunities for professional and social networking, educational opportunities, and volunteering at local social service agencies in a Jewish context.

Donor Recognition

Two Real Estate and Building Trades giving societies were launched in the Spring 2006 to thank donors who demonstrate their financial commitment to the Jewish United Fund. These giving societies offer special networking and educational opportunities for donors who give a minimum gift of $5,000 to JUF's annual campaign.

  • The Foundation Society is chaired by Susan Silver and Reuben Warshawsky and is designed for donors who make an individual contribution of $5,000 or more to the Jewish United Find Annual Campaign.
  • The Landmark Society is chaired by Gary Kass, Pamela Rose and Wendy Berger Shapiro and is designed for donors who make an individual contribution of $10,000 or more to the Jewish United Fund Annual Campaign.
