Iowa Flood Relief button

The JUF TOV Volunteer Network, in partnership with Nechama - Jewish Response to Disaster, has planned a two day volunteer mission on Sept. 9-10 to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to salvage homes, clean up devastated neighborhoods, and help flood victims.

China Earthquake

The Jewish Federation Midwest Flood Relief Fund, Jewish Federation China Earthquake Relief Fund and Jewish Federation Myanmar Cyclone Relief Fund support humanitarian, non-sectarian needs on the ground. 100% of collected funds will go directly to aid the victims; the Jewish Federation will not deduct any administrative costs.

JCRC Election Forum

JCRC & AJEC present the 2008 Jewish Community Election Forum with speakers Richard Baehr (Consultant and Advisor – Republican Jewish Coalition), Ira Forman (Executive Director – National Jewish Democratic Council), and Rabbi Matthew L. Berger of Temple Chai. The moderator will be Jay Tcath, Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council. Issues to be addressed include US-Israel Relations, Iran, Environmental Concerns, Religious Liberty, and The Partnership Between Non-Profits and Government. September 14, 7:00 pm at Temple Chai.
