2009 Annual Report

YLD's Big Event Featuring Andy Samberg

YLD’s 2010 Big Event will feature Andy Samberg, internationally acclaimed comedian and star of Saturday Night Live!  The Big Event will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Swissotel Chicago (323 E. Upper Wacker Dr.).    Last year’s event sold out, so be sure to get your tickets early!

Chanukah Coat Club

This Chanukah give the gift of warmth. Give someone special a Chanukah gift to warm their hearts… while keeping a needy child warm.

A gift of $18 to JUF’s Chanukah Coat Club will ensure a local child in need will receive a warm, new winter coat to brave the harsh winter, knowing it’s from someone who cares. Your special someone will receive a personalized Chanukah card announcing that this has been made in his or her honor along with a copy of a thank you letter from someone who has received a coat.

Milton Horn

Milton Horn was a renowned Russian-born American Jewish sculptor and artist who lived and worked in Chicago for many years.  His works are exhibited in museums and institutions throughout the United States. Thanks to a gift from Paula and Peter Ellis of the Milton Horn Fine Art Trust, the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago is fortunate to be able to showcase a number of Horn's drawings and several of his sculptures for the benefit of the Jewish community.
